On August 6, 2009, my husband Kyle and I attended the 2nd Annual Gord Bamford Charity Gala at the Lacombe Memorial Centre.  It was a star-studded evening with the likes of Gord himself, George Canyon, Aaron Pritchett, Duane Steele, Jake Matthews and many others.  There was a live and silent auction mixed in with the entertainment and in true Gord fashion, he mingled with the crowd just like any other.  I was happy to donate a 32"x48" Limited Edition (Print 5 of 30) Apple Canvas print, and was extremely happy with the $625 that it raised for the Gord Bamford Charitable Foundation!

Gord's foundation focuses on the children, and this year they raised a whopping $170,000 that will be donated to four different organizations this year.  An up and coming country music star, Gord Bamford has been nominated for multiple CCMA categories this year.  The CCMA's will be held in Vancouver between September 10th-13th and will be televised on CBC, Sunday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m.  When I graduated highschool, our graduating class had the pleasure of having Gord sing "The River" by Garth Brooks as our theme song.  Go Gord go.....take the CCMA's by storm!
